ExxonMobil™ Signature Polymers:
A New Era of Collaboration
2025 will see ExxonMobil™ Polymers begin the process of positioning their products under a single brand. As part of this process, ExxonMobil™ will transition their grade names to better reflect the attributes and benefits they provide.
What does this mean for existing customers who buy ExxonMobil™ Polymers materials?
- ExxonMobil™ will change their nomenclature across their entire polymer portfolio. You will notice this happening in the majority of cases over the first half of 2025.
- ExxonMobil™ have confirmed that there will be no changes to the products themselves (including any changes to the specifications, additives, feed, or manufacturing location) - this is only a naming/numbering change.
- Grades with submissions, registrations, or certifications, including but not limited to FDA Drug Master File, Health Canada LONO, and NSF remain valid. ExxonMobil™ is working with those regulatory bodies to reflect the new naming convention.
- ExxonMobil™ will maintain both the current and the new names on documentation such as the safety datasheets, order documentation and Certificates of Analysis. Customers will be able to order / receive using both names for a few months following the transition.
